Community members came together to foster a love of reading during the annual North Merrick Reads Together event at the North Merrick Public Library on April 10.
A new initiative in North Merrick Schools is uniting third graders with their sixth-grade peers to build bonds, foster a sense of community and pursue a growth mindset.
To offset emergency repairs made to Camp Avenue Elementary School last spring, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman and Legislator Michael Giangregorio secured $104,000 to be utilized by the North Merrick School District.
Harold D. Fayette School in the North Merrick School District was brought back in time on March 28 as students displayed their in-depth ancient Egyptian crafts in museum style.
