    Resource Room Services

    Resource Room programs shall be for the purpose of supplementing the regular or special classroom instruction of students with disabilities who are in need of such supplemental programs.  

    • Each student with a disability requiring a resource room program shall receive academic support based on the  committee on special education recommendations.  A student with a resource room services, may receive services consistent with the student's IEP.
    • An instructional group which includes students with disabilities in a resource room program shall not exceed five students per teacher.
    • The composition of instructional groups in a resource room program shall be based on the similarity of the individual needs of the students according to: levels of academic or educational achievement and learning characteristics; levels of social development; levels of physical development; and the management needs of the students in the classroom.

    Tier 2: Targeted Interventions

    Students not making adequate progress in the regular classroom in Tier 1 are provided with increasingly intensive instruction matched to their needs on the basis of levels of performance and rates of progress. Intensity varies across group size, frequency and duration of intervention,  These services and interventions are provided in small-group settings in addition to instruction in the general curriculum for math and reading.
