Field Trips - Permission Slips
Project Adventure Field Trip
Part of the physical education curriculum is a unit of instruction called Project Adventure. Students who participate are given a problem that they must solve physically as well as cognitively. The main objectives of this unit of instruction are: cooperation, communication, trust, problem solving and teamwork. This unit is re-visited several times throughout the school year in order to emphasize the components of teamwork. In fifth grade, our students take a field trip to Nassau BOCES-The Outdoor Environmental Education Program in Brookville.
This year's trip will be Friday, May 15, 2020.
