• Family Fitness Fun

    To stay healthy and fit….do 2-3 fitness activities a day! 

     Have an adult initial each one you do.

    (Remember to wash your hands after each one.)

    • Go for a bike ride.
    • Crab walk into every room in your house.
    • Play outside on a jungle gym.
    • Challenge someone to a series of long or short races.
    • Alternate crunches and push ups.  Do one for each year you are old. (Breathe!)
    • Help do some yard work.
    • Dribble a basketball 100 times with each hand.
    • Do wall sits-hold for 10 seconds each time.
    • Walk backwards around the outside of your house ten times.
    • Find stairs.  Go up fast and down slow.  Repeat for each year old your mom and dad is.
    • Dance for 5 songs in a row...by yourself or with friends.
    • Play a game that uses a ball.  Ex: box ball or wiffle ball
    • Do as many jumping jacks as you can...10 times.
    • Dribble a soccer ball around your house twenty times.
    • Jump rope for 10 minutes.
    • Play a tag game for 20 minutes.
    • Keep a beach ball moving in the air for 20 minutes.
    • Go for a hike on a trail.
    • Take a walk around your neighborhood with a family member for 20 minutes.
    • Go fly a kite.
    • Play hopscotch.
    • Run around your house 20 times.
    • Stretch during the commercial breaks during a TV show.
    • Wash the car.
    • Set up an obstacle course in your backyard and challenge others to see who can do it the fastest
    • Do 50 mountain climbers.
    • Hold Downward Facing Dog for 10 seconds.  Repeat 3 times
    • Hula Hoop for 20 minutes.
    • Have a catch with a frisbee.
    • Have a contest to see who can do the most scissor kicks.
    • Play Knock-Out.
    • Weed a garden and plant some flowers.
    • Use youor video devices to play a fitness game.
    • Help your family do indoor chores to maintain your homes cleanliness.
    • If you have a dog, play with your dog outside  for 20 minutes.
    • If you don't have a dog, volunteer to walk/play with a neighbor's dog for 20 minutes.
