Bellmore-Merrick Child Care Program

  • Before/After School Child Care

The Bellmore-Merrick Child Care Program (BMCCP) is a not-for-profit organization providing before and after-school care in each of the North Merrick elementary schools.  The program is run by a site director and head teachers, assistant teachers and high school students who are at least 16 years old.

The breakfast programs begin at 7:15 a.m. and include hot and cold breakfast, as well as art activities and games.  The after-school program begins when school ends and closes at 6:00 p.m.  After-school activities include cooking, active outdoor play, arts and crafts, painting, gardening, board games, supervised study and homework time.  In addition to our daily care, BMCCP offers full-day vacation programs and summer camp.

BMCCP is licensed through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and adheres to all New York State regulations.  We strive to keep our programs as affordable as possible. We work closely with Nassau County Department of Social Services to provide services to those families who quality for tuition assistance. Our annual tuition is billed monthly to assist our families in budgeting for child care.
