Mr. Christopher Monaco

Welcome to Mr. Monaco's 4th grade class!

Old Mill Road School is a wonderful place to be, and our 4th graders experience great growth while being immersed in an interesting and valuable curriculum.

In math, we develop our multiplication and division skills, work with fractions, and study geometry.

In ELA, we read novels, build vocabulary, study comprehension skills, while writing narrative, informative, and opinion pieces.

In science, we learn about the scientific method, matter, magnetism and electricity, lego robotics, and even host out own science fair during Open House in the spring.

In social studies, we focus on New York State - our history, geography, and our place within the greater American story.

On top of all of these exciting topics, I try to instill a culture of respect, hard work, and perseverance in my students, while having fun at the same time.
