Welcome to Ms. Rodriguez's and Mrs. Jensen's Reading Resource Web Pages!
To teach a child to read is to give them the ability to become a lifelong learner.
Here are some ideas on how to practice your reading and writing skills at home:

- Write about what you have read, or write about your day.
- Here are some websites you can use to support your reading and writing:
Mrs. Jensen and Ms. Rodriguez aim to strengthen students' reading skills in a learner friendly environment during our small group reading sessions.
Students learn a variety of strategies to build their "thinking about thinking" and comprehension skills. Students struggling with decoding are taught skills using the Fundations Program or Wilson Reading System.
Students struggling with fluency and/or comprehension will be supported through the use of: LLI (Leveled Literacy Intervention); Making Connections; Read Naturally and Visualizing & Verbalizing.
