What is a School Psychologist?
School psychologists apply their knowledge in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. They provide direct support and interventions to students, consult with teachers, families, and support staff to improve support strategies, collaborate with community providers to coordinate needed services, help identify students with disabilities, and collaborate on creating individualized education plans for students.
