Students practice prose for Fayette’s Poem in Your Pocket Day

Poem in Your Pocket Day is celebrated every year at Fayette, helping students connect with poems that are meaningful to them and step up as a leader to their peers. Students at each grade level researched poems until they found one they connected with. Every student in the building carried a poem in their pocket throughout the day. During both morning and closing announcements, several students read their poems out loud to the entire building. Fayette’s celebration of Poem in Your Pocket Day boosts students’ appreciation of creative and expressive writing.
