Camp Avenue Class of 2026 crosses the stage

The Camp Avenue School sixth grade class marked the ultimate achievement of their elementary school careers on June 25 as they moved up to middle school.

Parents proudly cheered on the graduates as they entered the auditorium and moved toward the stage. Liliana Tomeo and William Graziano led the salute to the flag before Principal Dr. Hillary Bromberg welcomed guests. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Cynthina Seniuk commended the class on their perseverance and dedication.

In reflection essays shared by Arianna Molina Wong, Caitlin Thiel and Christina Repeta, sixth graders reminisced about their favorite memories made and lessons learned while at Camp Avenue. In a special music presentation led by music teacher Rachel Lajara, students sang “A Million Dreams” and “Best Day of My Life.”

Several awards were given out to deserving students before each graduate rose to receive their diploma. In a special slideshow, the many experiences had at Camp Avenue were recapped. As graduates recessed out of the auditorium, they stepped toward their next educational destination: Merrick Avenue Middle School.
