Fall Festival brings Halloween fun to Old Mill Road

Fall Festival brings Halloween fun to Old Mill Road

The spirit of the season was celebrated in grand fashion on Oct. 31 at Old Mill Road Elementary School in the North Merrick School District as parents, students and staff came together for an exciting Halloween parade and Fall Festival.

Parents in the PTA organized the day, which was kicked-off with a parade that had students flaunting their creative costumes. The field was then transformed into a festival with a variety of games and a DJ who played students’ favorite hits. Parents hosted imaginative and engaging activities, such as DeeDee Sulla’s fortune-teller booth or a twist on bobbing for apples with packing peanuts and prizes. As they moved around the field to play different games, students’ excitement and camaraderie was clear to see. The Halloween parade and Fall Festival returns each year thanks to the strong partnership between school administration and the PTA.
