Families flock to North Merrick’s ‘Trunk or Treat’

Families flock to North Merrick’s ‘Trunk or Treat’

Hundreds of North Merrick students and their family members kicked off their Halloween festivities at the Harold D. Fayette School on Oct. 24 to “Trunk or Treat” by visiting creatively decorated car trunks.

Staff members eagerly waited for the trick-or-treaters on the Fayette rear lawn, backed by their trunks decorated to resemble monsters and other spooky sights. Students were thrilled to dress as some of their favorite pop culture characters as they united with friends to fill their bags of candy. School supplies were also handed out, such as pencils and erasers. Hosted each year by the North Merrick Faculty Association, “Trunk or Treat” is highly anticipated by staff and students alike.
