Parents visit students for a taste of poetry at Old Mill Road

It was teatime for kindergartners at Old Mill Road School in the North Merrick School District on May 13, 15 and 16 as they invited their parents for a relaxing session of poetry.

Each kindergarten class at Old Mill Road had parents visit as audience members while children shared poems of their own making. Following a topic of their choosing, kindergartners showed their poetry skills such as rhyming. After reading their poems, parents joined students for tea and snacks.
