Red Ribbon Week promotes positive choices at H.D. Fayette
The importance of making positive choices was reinforced through a week of themes and activities in recognition of Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 21-25 at Harold D. Fayette School in the North Merrick School District.
Students made their participation seen as they dressed to match each day’s theme, such as wearing a jersey to signify teaming up to make healthy choices, or tie-dye for Thursday’s “Peace Out to Drugs.” Activities like guided yoga also helped reinforce the mission behind Red Ribbon Week, a time to celebrate making healthy, drug-free choices and supporting one another.
