Dr. Cynthia Seniuk, Superintendent of Schools, is among 23 educators and administrators who are the recipients of the First Annual NASTAR Award from Nassau BOCES and the Nassau Association of School Technologists (NASTECH). The award recognizes innovative and exemplary leadership in technology. Dr. Seniuk has broadened the use of instructional technology while fostering collaboration. She initiated a redesign of classrooms, library/media centers, and computer labs into 21st century workspaces for K-6 students. This includes the installation of Nureva Span walls, 3D printers, and flexible and moveable modular furniture. In addition, the district has partnered with Google Virtual Reality and the Hofstra and Cradle of Aviation STEM programs while students work on Chromebooks and Google Classroom.
