Students in the North Merrick WINGS enrichment program built and programmed robots that, one day, may help make life better for elementary students and their families. Solutions ranged from handling a multitude of household chores to shuffling students to their myriad of activities!
The students first researched information about the current capability of robotics and surveyed families on areas in which robotic technology could be helpful. They became engineers who coded every action and movement of the robots using angles and degrees and utilizing block and brick programming as well as various sensors. Their robots serve as prototypes for technological solutions they envision for the future.
