How to Submit for Conference Approval
How to Apply for a Conference
First, complete conference request form on My Learning Plan.
(Note: Requests for administrative approval MUST be submitted with sufficient time for processing before registering for the conference.)
Go to My Learning Plan
After you have submitted the form shown above, your request will be voted on at the subsequent Board of Education meeting. You will be notified with decision. Once you have approval, you can register for the conference and pay the registration fee (if applicable).
Reimbursement Information and Procedures
If there is a registration fee for the conference and the BOE has approved your request, the district will reimburse up to $70 of the fee. If the registration fee for the conference is more than $70, the North Merrick Teacher Center will reimburse up to $100 above and beyond the district's $70 (pending available funds).
- To receive reimbursement from the district, submit proof of conference attendance (registration forms and certificate of attendance) along with the receipt for payment (copy of canceled check or credit card statement). Send all information to Tricia Taylor in the Business Office.
- To receive reimbursement from the Teacher Center, submit a copy of your Board approval letter, proof of conference attendance, and proof of payment to Arlene Nucero at Camp Avenue School. After the subsequent Teacher Center Policy Board meeting, you will be notified of reimbursement approval.
